The fastest and cheapest means to establish a web presence is to get a blog. Blogs are free and easy to use. If you can send and receive email, you can learn to use a blog.
When you update your blog, you post information to it. This is called a new blog posting.
Artist blog will be image intensive. You will need to update the blog with images of your work. Many artists also use their blog to write about their creative process, upcoming events, and frequently write about other interesting artist they meet.
Blog is like a journal in reverse chronological order. Each time you add a new blog post, it appears at the top of the page. As you post more blog entries, some older posts drop off the front page and link to them can appear on the side navigation bar.
The top two blogging services are blogger and wordpress They are both free and easy. If you know NOTHING about blogs, I suggest you read their help section. Blogger seems to currently have the edge over wordpress for complete novices, but wordpress is more versatile for those artists who are a little more tech savy.
