Many galleries and art collectors expect a professional, working artists to have their own website. If you are just starting out, you may not be able to afford to purchase your own domain and have a custom website built just for you. There are many affordable alternatives for artists websites currently available.
There are many websites that offer artists a free bio page with a limited number of images. Some of these are social media sites, some of them of art directory sites. You can post information about yourself and upload some photos of your work. Although the web address (domain) will include this name of these companies, this is a quick and free way to get yourself and your work online.
